The “official” shoes during summer are flip-flops. This woman wore them constantly for a month, or more as she was away from her home for a vacation (did her job through skype) and she started feeling pain. She thought that be due to the morning jogs, and then stopped doing that.Show more text
As the time passed the pain started taking over her leg, her tendons started hurting very bad. She only wore her flip-flops. It was a mystery for her what happened to her feet, thus she started feeling scared about her health. Her husband contacted their family doctor to ask for advice and he asked if she was wearing flip-flops. The woman instantly ditched them and her feet recovered in just one week.
This is what it’s about:
- Flip-flops make you clumsy – the University of Auburn tested people who are wearing sneakers and others who are wearing flip-flops and the results showed that the flip-flop group walked slower and were clumsier than the other group.
- They can damage your heels and toes – wearing slip-flops puts great pressure on the heels and if you wear them regularly it can result in pain in the toes and heels.
- This footwear can get your blisters – this is the most common side effect of flip-flops and this can further attack your health.
- Your body may be changed and you may feel pain – flip-flops are not designed to hold the body stable and the pain you start to feel and the blisters can modify the way you walk, meaning that your body is getting used to that position. If you wear them for 3-5 months your spine, hips, and knees can be affected.
For this reason stick to soft shoes.
